Also in the University Heights blotter, a report of a disturbance between a customer and employee at a local laundromat resulted in the employee's warrant arrest.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Auto thefts: John Carroll Boulevard At 8:15 a.m. Feb.

24, officers responded to 1 John Carroll Blvd., a John Carroll University parking lot, on a report that two vehicles were broken into during the previous evening. After further investigation, police determined that, in addition to the break-ins, two vehicles were stolen from the lot.



Police are investigating. Stolen license plates: Hillbrook Road At 12:15 p.m.

Feb. 17, officers conducted a traffic stop on Warrensville Center Road, near Hillbrook Road, of a vehicle that was displaying a stolen license plate. During the investigation it was learned that the registered plate belonging to the vehicle had been stolen and replaced, without the owner’s knowledge, with another stolen plate.

Police advised the driver to go to his local police department to file a report. The plate that was on the vehicle was confirmed stolen and was confiscated so it could be returned to its owner. Warrant arrest: Traymore Road At 9:25 p.

m. Feb. 18, officers were dispatched to Hillbrook Road, near Traymore Road, to investigate a car crash.

One of the involved drivers, a Cleveland Heights man, 41, was found to be wanted on a Shaker Heights police warrant. Police cited the man for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and for driving with a suspended license. He was then turned over to SHPD officers.

Vehicle trespass: Silsby Road At 4:20 a.m. Feb.

22, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3500 block of Silsby Road on a report of an unknown suspicious male rummaging through a vehicle parked in a driveway. The area was checked, but the suspect was not located. Warrant arrest: Cedar Road At 9:45 a.

m. Feb. 22, officers conducted a traffic stop due to a registration violation while in the parking lot of Whole Foods, 13998 Cedar Road.

The driver of the vehicle, a Euclid resident, 32, was found to have an open warrant with North Ridgeville police. He was arrested and turned over to the NRPD. Disturbance: Edgerton Road At 7:50 a.

m. Feb. 17, police were called to a residence in the 2400 block of Edgerton Road on a report of an altercation between a group home staff member and a resident.

A report of information was taken. Warrant arrest: Meadowbrook Boulevard At 4:25 p.m.

Feb. 25, an officer stopped a vehicle on Warrensville Center Road for a traffic violation. The driver, a Maple Heights woman, 32, was arrested and turned over to Cleveland police on outstanding warrants with that department.

Warrant arrest: South Taylor Road At 1:10 p.m. Feb.

26, police responded to 2107 S. Taylor Road on a report of a dispute between an employee and a patron at the Heights Laundry Center. After gathering information, the employee, later identified as a University Heights man, 27, was found to be wanted on a warrant issued by Bainbridge police.
