Twins, Orioles Saturday game pushed back for national broadcast

Instead of an afternoon game, Minnesota's penultimate game of the regular season will be a nationally televised evening contest.

The Minnesota Twins’ penultimate game of the regular season has been moved from the afternoon to the evening to accommodate a national broadcast. The Twins and MLB announced the move on Monday, changing the start time for the club’s game on Saturday, Sept. 28 against the Baltimore Orioles from 1:10 p.

m. to 6:15 p.m.

m. CT. That game also has a promotion, offering a fan appreciation baseball hat to the first 10,000 fans.

Additionally, the game features an Irish heritage night ticket package for a special hat. After getting swept in Sunday’s doubleheader at Boston, Minnesota enters the final week of the regular-season one game behind both Detroit and Kansas City, who hold the final two American League wild card spots. However, the Twins have tiebreakers against both clubs so they just need to gain one game on them this week.
