TVS is ready to launch its third electric two-wheeler in the Indian market after the iQube and X e-scooters TVS is planning to launch a new electric two-wheeler in the Indian market. The company is already riding the wave of electric scooters, raking in sales figures of 1.

27 lakh units in the first half of this financial year, generating revenue of Rs. 1,600 crore. The development of a new electric two-wheeler came after the brand’s CEO confirmed during an investor meeting that a new product would be added to the electric portfolio this financial year.



The Hosur-based company stood at the second spot in the electric two-wheeler segment, trailing behind the Ola Electric, till August this year. However, it later slipped to the third spot in September as Bajaj Auto took the lead with its Chetak electric range. TVS is currently relying on the iQube range offered in multiple variants in the Indian market and expansion is the need of the hour.

In addition to a slew of new electric scooters, the company is also working on a new electric motorcycle and its development is already on the track. While the details about the upcoming electric two-wheeler from TVS are not available, the latest media reports suggest that it could either be the Jupiter Electric or the XL Electric which will be targeted at the B2B segment. For reference, TVS registered the trademark for two names in India i.

e. XL EV and E-XL. We expect the company to unveil the upcoming electric two-wheeler at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo early next year while the official launch could happen by March 2025.

Currently, the TVS iQube is available in a total of 5 variants with multiple battery pack options including 2.2 kWh, 3.4 kWh and the range-topping 5.
