Ezz LCV, the exclusive distributor of TVS Motor Company (TVSM) in Egypt, has launched a state-of-the-art assembly line in Giza, advancing its plan to localise the production of TVS vehicles. Marking five years of partnership with TVSM, the $6.5 million (360 million EGP) investment aims to strengthen Egypt’s two-wheeler market by achieving an annual production capacity of 100,000 units, according to a company statement.
The new assembly line will focus on assembling popular TVS Motor models such as the TVS Apache RTR Series, TVS HLX Series, and TVS XL 100. This initiative is expected to enhance delivery times, support Ezz LCV’s extensive dealer network, and provide motorcycles tailored to local market preferences. Rahul Nayak, Vice President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, described the inauguration of the Giza facility as a reflection of the growing demand for TVS products in Egypt.
“This facility will not only strengthen our presence in the region but also create job opportunities, driving economic growth,” he said. The Giza plant combines TVS Motor Company’s globally renowned engineering expertise with Ezz LCV’s focus on the Egyptian market. “Over the past five years, our partnership with TVS Motor Company has been instrumental in delivering premium, reliable two-wheelers to the Egyptian market.
This new facility represents our commitment to producing seven flagship models locally to cater to the evolving needs of our customers,” said Amr Ezz El Alarab, CEO of Ezz LCV. The current lineup of TVS models available in Egypt includes the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS Star HLX 150, and TVS HLX 150 F. With this expansion, Ezz LCV aims to strengthen its position in the Egyptian two-wheeler market.
