The What Not to Wear presenter has never shied away from nudity, with co-host Trinny Woodall previously admitting they used "naked" pictures on their business cards. But now she has revealed Prince Philip had to "recover her modesty" after she flashed the crowds at Windsor Castle.

Susannah, 62, recalls the incident, which took place at a royal dinner party, as her "worst wardrobe malfunction". She was wearing a strappy dress borrowed from her mother at the time. While appearing on the Dirty Mother Pukka podcast with Anna Whitehouse and Polly Hazlewood, she recounted: "My worst [wardrobe malfunction] was pretty heroic, actually.

I was at Windsor Castle, this was when I was going out with Princess Margaret's son, David Linley." "I had this really beautiful Valentino dress that I had borrowed off my mum, and it was a strappy something I could never wear now, because I need upholstery to keep my t*** up! " she quipped. "But it was this little strappy dress with these diamante straps.

" "I was just sort of, you know, eating my soup and everything, and suddenly Prince Phillip put his hand on my back, and I thought, 'Oi oi! What's going on here? And then he went round to my front, and I thought he was going for one of my boobs." Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. Susannah revealed that it was, in fact, Philip who came to her aid when her dress became undone, causing her to flash the dinner guests. She disclosed: "He lifted my dress up to recover my modesty. And because my boobs were open to the public, I was flashing to the whole room.

" She went on to describe how Philip then called on one of his footmen to secure her dress and Princess Margaret also lent a hand. Susannah's rise to prominence began with a newspaper column alongside Trinny Woodall, reports the Express . Their joint fashion feature, 'Ready to Wear', led to them bagging a makeover segment on Richard and Judy.

However, their initial foray into book publishing was less successful, with 'Ready 2 Wear' selling a mere 13,000 copies, but they eventually found fame with BBC's 'What Not to Wear'. The duo has since secured their status as best-selling authors and television personalities. During the 1980s, Susannah was romantically involved with Viscount Linley, the son of Princess Anne, for nearly a decade.

Her personal life now includes marriage to businessman Sten Bertelsen. Get the latest celebrity gossip and telly news sent straight to your inbox. Sign up to our daily Showbiz newsletter here .
