Turkmenistan, Mexico View Cooperation In Trade And Economic Sphere

Turkmenistan and Mexico have discussed cooperation in the trade andeconomic sphere, Trend reports via Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry. According to the information, it was announced following thefirst Political consultations between the countries in the formatof a videoconference.

The parties noted the need to expand contacts between businesscircles, which will create favorable conditions for further growthof mutual trade. They also discussed the prospects of partnershipin such key areas as energy, agriculture, education, andculture. Moreover, the consultations emphasized the importance of jointwork in international organizations, particularly within theframework of the United Nations.



The participants of theconsultations reaffirmed their readiness to develop multilateralcooperation to address global challenges. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry ofForeign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Matias Romero Institute ofDiplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexicoreceived special attention during the discussion of cultural andeducational ties. The proposal suggested the implementation ofjoint programs and activities aimed at enhancing culturalexchanges.

Furthermore, the parties emphasized the importance ofestablishing inter-parliamentary contacts and proposed to hold thenext political consultations in Ashgabat in 2025.
