KUCHING (Aug 31): Turbo Fitness Lite, located at The Glen in Batu Kawa here, was officially launched yesterday, providing a comprehensive set of gym equipment that caters to fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Owner Melvin Lee said this is the gym’s second branch after its first successful establishment located at Armadale Residence behind Gala City.
In his speech during the launch event, he expressed his gratitude to his father Lee Chin Teck, who is Tecktonic & Sons Holdings Sdn Bhd managing director, and his mother. “I want to give a big shout out and a thank you to my mum and dad for supporting me in my journey of entrepreneurship. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to own any gyms, start any businesses, or live this life that I live,” he said.
The newly launched Turbo Fitness Lite at The Glen features a spacious and modern gym setup equipped with a wide range of high-quality fitness machines and free weights. Melvin mentioned that after studying in Melbourne for two years, his father called him back to learn and contribute to the family business. “My father is someone who enjoys public speaking and coming up on stage, so he would continuously challenge me to come up on stage as well, and being a faithful son, I will do my absolute best to do so and give more speeches,” he said.
On Tecktonic & Sons Holdings, he said the company has to date completed some 25 projects across Sarawak. The weightlifting area at Turbo Fitness Lite features a sleek, industrial design with multiple racks and platforms, fully-equipped for strength training. “I could not be more proud and grateful to be a part of the team.
Every department, including the contractors, sales and marketing, and accounting, as well as my mum and dad, have enormously talented, hardworking and dedicated people. They are what make Tecktonic what it is. “Moreover, a very big part of this success is because of all the bankers and real estate agents in attendance today.
Any good developer would know the importance of having the ability to finance and sell, and without their support, Tecktonic wouldn’t be where it is today,” he added.
