Trump-endorsed Mark Robinson urged to quit governor race as porn comments exposed

Despite increasing calls for him to withdraw from the governor's race following a shocking report about his explicit comments on a porn forum, North Carolina 's lieutenant governor has affirmed his intention to stay in the race. Republican Lt. Gov.

Mark Robinson, a staunch ally of Donald Trump , is accused of lauding slavery, making racist remarks about Martin Luther King Jr., and making antisemitic comments, as well as posting a series of obscene and pornographic statements. Robinson, 56, refuted the allegations made by CNN , which published the comprehensive investigation on Thursday, and stated he has no intentions of withdrawing from the election.



The prominent social conservative, who would be the first African American governor of the Tar Heel State if elected, dismissed the scandalous reports as "tabloid trash." However, CNN was able to link the username used to make the comments to Robinson through a shared email address and other personal details. The outlet also reported that all comments were made by Robinson between 2008 and 2012 on the message boards of a website called Nude Africa - before his political career began.

Under the username "minisoldr," Robinson reportedly described enjoying watching transgender pornography, expressed support for reinstating slavery, made antisemitic slurs, and identified himself as a Nazi. "I'm a black NAZI," he reportedly wrote in a forum discussing black Republicans in October 2010. In a series of reported posts, the individual alleged to be Robinson wrote: "Slavery is not bad.

Some people need to be slaves." and "I would certainly buy a few" if slavery were to return. The same person expressed a preference for Adolf Hitler over Barack Obama , saying: "I'd take Hitler over any of the s--- that's in Washington right now.

" This person also boasted about peeping into women's locker rooms at age 14, recollecting how he "sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered." Known for using homophobic and racial slurs, his commentary did not spare prominent figures such as Martin Luther King Jr., whom he labeled a "commie b------," "worse than a maggot," a "ho f------, phony," and a "huckster," according to a CNN report.

Further controversy stirred when it was unearthed that an email address associated with this person was found registered on Ashley Madison, a site notorious for facilitating extramarital affairs. An adviser validated the connection of the email to the lieutenant governor per Politico 's findings. Despite the uproar preceding the accusation, the lieutenant governor released a video statement denying the claims and confirmed his intention to stay in the gubernatorial race.

"The things that you will see in that story, those are not the words of Mark Robinson," he declared. "We are staying in this race. We are in it to win it.
