Donald Trump made a five-word pledge during his highly-anticipated "Liberation Day" speech, in which he confirmed tariffs and an executive order. The US president said it's "not going to happen anymore", referencing US taxpayers being "ripped off for 50 years". He added: "[The US has been] looted, pillaged, raped and plundered by nations near and far, both friend and foe alike.
