Donald Trump turned to Truth Social to defend the trade tariffs saying this is an "economic revolution."

Donald Trump’s newly enforced trade tariffs are having a grave effect on Wall Street , but rather than reconsidering the high rates, the President decided to give the US public a pep talk. Friday was reportedly the worst trading week since 2020 with the Dow Jones down by 2,200 points at closing. The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 also had a bad day, closing at 5.
