President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday that will prohibit biological men from competing in women’s sports across the country. A White House official told reporters that the executive order works under Title IX, and that the Department of Education will be investigating any school that violates the presidential action and allows biological men to compete in women’s sports on any level. Title IX is landmark legislation from 1972 that prohibits discrimination based on sex in any public school or university that receives federal funding.

Trump said “the war on women’s sports is over” in his speech prior to the signing. “I’m going to sign the executive order right now, and everything is going to go into effect immediately,” Trump moments before he signed the order.

Under the presidential order, the official explained that the administration is going to do all it can using its authority to protect women’s sports when events take place on U.S. soil.
“If you are coming into the country and you are claiming that you are a woman, but you are a man now here to compete against women, we’re going to be reviewing that for fraud,” the official said of the visa policies. Under the 2022 rule change every sex-separated space, program, building, bathroom and locker room would be separated on the basis of gender identity rather than biological sex, Heritage Foundation Senior Legal Fellow Sarah Perry previously said.

It also moved to prohibit federally funded schools from adopting a “one-size-fits-all-policy” that would keep students from joining sports teams on the basis of gender identity.
After facing numerous legal challenges, the department withdrew the proposed Title IX rule change during Biden’s final days in office. Gender insanity was the final straw that brought a lot of moderates to the side of common sense.
Specifically, I believe it was the issue of men in women’s sports. I’ve been living in a state of gratitude everyday since Nov 5th. Praise God,” Riley Gaines posted on Twitter as she announced she would be in attendance for the executive order signing.
