
Tweet Facebook Mail One person has died after a serious two-truck crash near Campbelltown in Sydney's south-west. NSW police were called to the scene at about 6.30am, following reports of a serious collision southbound on the Hume Highway, Blair Athol.
One truck ignited and was engulfed in flames when emergency services arrived. Fire and Rescue NSW officers attended and extinguished the blaze. One driver died at the scene, NSW Police reported this morning. The driver is yet to be formally identified.
A second driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for "various injuries". The driver was then taken to hospital. A crime scene has been established at the scene of the collision and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced inquiries.
