This September, fast-growing healthy smoothie chain Tropical Smoothie Cafe is launching a new location in Valrico, at 2016 State Rd 60. The brand may be new to Valrico, but it’s the sixth location for Tyrone, the franchisee behind the location. “Back, early on, when the brand was more in its infant stage, I lived out of state and was heavily into working out and taking care of my body,” Tyrone said.
“When Tropical Smoothie Cafe came on the scene, it was a great opportunity to have something that tastes good and also fits with a healthy lifestyle.” Tyrone remained a faithful Tropical Smoothie customer for about ten years, the franchisee says, before taking the opportunity to join the company as a franchisee. “I loved the brand, and I loved the product, and the rest is history.
I’ve been with Tropical Smoothie Cafe for about eight years. We opened our first one in 2018, and this will be the sixth.” Items currently featured on the Tropical Smoothie Cafe menu include the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap ( grilled chicken, rice, black beans, cheddar, pineapple salsa, romaine & jerk sauce ), the Island Green smoothie ( spinach, kale, mango, pineapple & banana ), the Acai Bowl with Nutella ( acai base, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, banana, coconut, granola, chia seeds, honey drizzle & Nutella drizzle ), and Kale & Apple Slaw salad.
