Trio of offensive lineman announce commitment to Iowa

The Iowa football program added commitments from three offensive linemen in the high school recruiting class of 2026 in a 24-hour span between Sunday and Monday.

A trio of offensive linemen announced their commitment to the Iowa football program as members of the class of 2026 on Sunday and Monday. Owen Linder, Colin Whitters and Hudson Parliament each announced their decisions on X, formerly known as Twitter. In addition to the trio's announcements, Hawkeye general manager and chief of staff Tyler Barnes appeared to tease the run of commitments with post on X.

Barnes made a cryptic post on Sunday featuring three yellow bird emojis. Linder, a Chanhassen, Minnesota product, kicked off the run with his announcement on Sunday. In his post, Linder shared numerous thank-yous before expressing his excitement to join Iowa.



"I am proud to announce that I will be committing to the University of Iowa," Linder wrote. "#gohawkeyes." At 6-foot-5, 280-pounds, Linder projects as an offensive tackle according 247Sports.

Following Linder's announcement, Barnes posted again. "That's 1..

.," Barnes posted, with another yellow bird emoji. Whitters, an Iowa City West product, made his announcement on Monday morning with a post featuring an commitment graphic and a photo of young Whitters in an Iowa jersey at Kinnick Stadium.

"Staying home," Whitters said with three yellow bird emojis accompanying his post. An interior offensive lineman, Whitters is listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds. He helped block for the No.

I am excited to represent the Black and Gold. Go Hawks!" A 6-foot-4, 320-pound prospect, Parliament is listed as a defensive lineman by 247Sports, but labels himself as an interior offensive lineman on X. 247Sports ranks all three as three-star prospects.

The trio joins four-star prospect, and Waterloo West star, Carson Nielsen as offensive linemen committed to Iowa in the class of 2026. Nielsen also seemingly teased the upcoming run of commitments with a post on X following the Hawkeyes' junior day this weekend. "What a great weekend," Nielsen wrote.

His post also included a GIF of former Iowa offensive linemen Levi and Landon Paulsen fist-bumping. In addition to its quartet of offensive linemen, the Hawkeyes' 2026 recruiting class, which ranks 14th nationally according to 247Sports, also includes quarterback Cash Herrera and defensive back Marcello Vitti.
