Login An elusive free trade deal with the European Union is regaining momentum after the bloc’s top trade official promised to make a rare visit to Australia to negotiate, as the Albanese government rebuffs China’s plea for a united front against Donald Trump’s trade war. After the tariff tit-for-tat between Trump and Beijing spiralled during the previous night , Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Thursday there were opportunities for local producers from the disruption, with four-fifths of global trade unaffected.
