Travis Hunter entered the Week 12 slate with (-160) odds of winning the Heisman, according to FanDuel . He continued to make his case for the award on Saturday as the Colorado Buffaloes took on the Utah Utes. Colorado entered Saturday as the second-ranked team in the Big 12 behind the undefeated BYU Cougars.

It did not take long for the Buffaloes' star to start making plays against Utah. In the first quarter, Utah quarterback Isaac Wilson tried to get the ball to receiver Munir McClain, but the pass was deflected and Hunter was there to intercept it. Hunter returned the interception 21 yards before being tackled by members of Utah's offense.

Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images After making the play, Hunter campaigned for himself and hit the Heisman pose for the voters watching the game. It was another stepping stone in Hunter's Heisman campaign. The players below Hunter in the Heisman odds for Week 12 included Boise State running Ashton Jeanty (+360), Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel (+500), and Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cameron Ward (+850), in that order.
