FlixBus will start the routes to Bournemouth, Southampton, Poole, London and Heathrow on Thursday, April 17. The promotional tickets will be available for travel between Wednesday, April 23 and Monday, June 30. FlixBus is expanding its network to cover more than 80 destinations, adding Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon and Norwich to the list.
The expansion will also see an increase in service frequency to key cities on the network. The brand aims to offer affordable, sustainable and reliable travel options to popular destinations such as London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Hull, Bristol and Cardiff. Andreas Schorling, senior managing director of FlixBus UK, said: "Travel is fun and should be for everyone.
"FlixBus is making it so easy to enjoy trips across the country to see loved ones and explore new places on the smallest of budgets." The company plans to have more than 200 green FlixBuses on the roads throughout England, Scotland and Wales by summer. FlixBus was praised for its comfortable, modern vehicles and excellent customer experience, as reflected in its high TrustPilot score.
The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) estimates that each additional coach per day can contribute around £1 million to local economies..
