Traci Braxton is being remembered on what would've been her 54th birthday. On Wednesday, April 2, Traci's sisters, Toni , Trina , Tamar and Towanda Braxton marked what would have been the late singer's 54th birthday with emotional tributes shared to their Instagram accounts. In celebration of her late sister's special day, Toni, 57, honored Traci by sharing a video compilation of her most iconic moments on their family reality show, Braxton Family Values .

Tamar, 48, also shared a clip of a crowd holding up their flashlights as Traci's hit single, "Last Call" played in the background of a concert. "Happy Heavenly Birthday beautiful @therealtracibraxton ," she wrote alongside the touching video. "We miss you down here sis!! But I know God didnât want to see you sick like that so, he brought you home to himself to heal you â¤ď¸.
" "Thank you for being an amazing sister and covering all of us down heređđźâ¨," she concluded. Alongside pictures of her sister kissing her cheek and Traci's son Kevin Surratt Jr.
kissing her urn, Towanda, 51, reflected on the special connection the two shared. "I feel your energy, your spirit daily. Talking to you everyday, talking things out, still loving each other is something we cherished," she captioned the post.
"What was understood, didnât need to be explained to NO ONE! Happy earthly birthday. Iâm having shot of the #kettle [vodka] for you today." Trina, 50, rounded out the social media dedications with a simple throwback photo of Traci smiling for the camera.
"All I have left are old pictures and memories but, you would not want me sad!!! Happy Born day, Rae! I love you!" she wrote before joking, "And Girl- we need your help down here right about now! lol!" In March 2022, the Braxton family confirmed the news of Traci's death at 50 after living with esophageal cancer. "It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci," Toni wrote in a statement share to Instagram at the time.
"Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly." During a conversation with PEOPLE in October , Trina said she is learning how to move forward in her grieving process. âEach day is its own journey,â she explained. âYou wake up and sometimes it's a good day.
Maybe another couple of weeks, it's a not so good day.â âYou can see something that can be a happy reminder, and then sometimes there are happy tears,â she continued. âAnd then sometimes there are tears of, âI miss you so much.
I wish you were here. Oh, my gosh, that's something that Traci would do.â Sometimes it's a laugh, cry moment as well.
â The reality star also said that grief counseling has allowed her to âcompartmentalize different things as far as my grieving process is continuing to go.â âI had to realize that it's OK to not be OK,â she shared. âIt's OK to cry.
