TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has successfully upgraded the Nabarangpur Primary Sub-Station (PSS). The installation of a 10 MVA transformer alongside the existing 8 MVA transformer raises the substation’s capacity from 13 MVA to 18 MVA, ensuring a steady power supply to over 14,000 consumers in Nabarangpur city and its surrounding areas. The upgrade addresses rising electricity demand, especially during the peak summer months.

Nabarangpur is home to numerous rice mills, cashew processing units, and small-scale industries that rely on uninterrupted power. With enhanced infrastructure, local businesses can function more efficiently, avoiding power disruptions. Expressing his appreciation for the initiative, Nabarangpur resident Shudhanshu Sekhar Parida noted, “Electricity services in our region have always been good, and this upgrade will further improve reliability.
