A car was stolen from a Border car dealership early Tuesday morning, but found several hours later. or signup to continue reading Police said the maroon Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series was taken from Blacklocks Ford on Melbourne Road, Wodonga about 3.54am on April 15.
The vehicle, showing signs of damage including a shattered rear windscreen and broken driver's side A-frame window, was later located and recovered on Chiltern Valley Road. A spokesperson from Wodonga Police said the car had been reported stolen early Tuesday morning and officers were now asking for assistance. "We're urging anyone who may have dashcam footage or who was in the Wodonga or Chiltern areas around that time to come forward," the spokesperson said.
The vehicle's registration number is BQC970. Wodonga police are also investigating a spike in on the Border about technology being used to steal vehicles. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tyler Gifford at Wodonga Police.
