An intern who recently joined a firm posted on Reddit how abruptly his irate boss at a music company fired 99 of 110 employees for being absent in the morning meeting. In a brief Slack message to the employees who bunked the meet, the CEO stated that “you are all fired,” as “you failed to show up to meetings you were supposed to attend and work for.” He further directed the terminated employees to sign out of all their company accounts, mails, and the company Slack as well.
He remarked that he will cancel all agreements between the fired staff and the company. The furious boss added in the text that he gave the employees a chance to make their lives better by working hard and thereby growing. “Yet you have shown me that you don’t take this seriously,” the boss remarked.
He noted that only 11 out of 110 people were present: “Those 11 get to stay, and the rest of you are terminated.” In his concluding remark, the toxic boss wrote, “Get the fuck out of my business right now.” Only five paragraphs earlier, the boss had mentioned the staff as “Dear Team.
” The original poster retracted the screenshot of the message; however, it was reshared by another account, saving a cache of the same in another subreddit. Others assumed that the meetings were probably optional.
