Senior Jeremy LeGros the Bulldogs (7-6) to the upset over the Nonselect Division I No. 4 Tors with 25 points, including 10 points in overtime.

LeGros was held to six points in the first half but came alive in the second with seven in the third quarter. He went 11 for 11 from the free throw line including eight in overtime. Jennings is 2-0 in overtime games this season.



Ian Malone led the Tors (15-4) with a game-high 27 points, including four 3-pointers. Blaine Davey added 14 points and forward Giorgio Ingrosso had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. LeGros hit a bucket with 4:04 left in the third quarter to tie the game at 34-34, but the Tors surged ahead with a 12-0 run.

It started with a 3-pointer by Malone and ended with Malone’s jumper just before the end of the quarter. Sulphur led 48-36 with 6:50 left in the game, but Jennings used an 18-4 run to reel the Tors back in. LeGros got a steal and layup to cut the deficit to 50-47 and Michael Lange 3-pointer tied it at 50-50.

Humphrey Ned scored the go-ahead bucket, 52-50, in the paint with 2:11 left in the third quarter before Malone hit a 15-footer with 23 seconds left in regulation. Sulphur pulled within three, 66-63, with 23 seconds left on a basket by Ingrosso, but LeGros calmly sank a pair of free throws with three seconds left to ice the game. Sulphur trailed by eight points, 17-9, after Legros drove to the basket for a layup with 42 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Tors got back into the game with the first of two big rallies on a 12-0 run. Davey tied the game on a three-point play with 6:17 left in the second quarter and Ingrosso scored the go-ahead bucket..
