Wood Theatre Dec. 14: The Magic of the holidays comes alive with Adirondack Ballet Theater's 33rd annual presentation of Tchaikovsky's timeless holiday classic, "The Nutcracker." ABT has the distinction of being the first dance company to perform this classical ballet at the Charles R Wood Theater, as we continue this annual holiday tradition, ABT is proud to bring this full-length ballet to community arts patrons, with over 50 local dancers, ages 4-18, local actors, and guest artists.
Please join this local, critically acclaimed not-for-profit children’s dance company for one of its typically sold-out performances. Showtimes are at 1 and 6 p.m.
TEDDY BEAR TOSS & FIREFIGHTER NIGHT, Cool Insuring Arena Dec. 14: On Dec. 14 the Saratoga Springs Fire hockey team will be hosting the Troy Firefighters at the Cool Insuring Arena for the first part of the Adirondack Thunder’s Teddy Bear Toss and Firefighter Night.
Doors open at noon with puck drop at 1:00 p.m. Tickets purchased are good for both the Saratoga Springs/Troy game and the Adirondack/Maine game.
Please bring a donation of a new or slightly used stuffed animal that will be added to the Teddy Bear Toss during the Thunder game! All stuffed animals collected will be going to benefit the Salvation Army! m. for a holiday matinee concert! The Lake George Community Band is a 50-piece concert band of area professionals and community members conducted by Michael Craner. They will perform holiday classics and favorites of the concert band repertoire.
