Premier League Newcastle United has expressed interest to sign Super Eagles star Victor Boniface this summer. The 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward is believed to be interested in a transfer to St James’ Park, with intermediaries exploring potential exit routes for him. Boniface has recovered from hamstring injuries this season, but a move to Al Nassr during the January transfer window fell through at the last minute, leaving him at Bayer for the remainder of the season.

Recognizing that the club is open to selling him, Boniface is now considering his options. For the time being, he remains a key player for Leverkusen, who are currently second in the Bundesliga. Despite the transfer speculation, he has maintained his performance, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in 12 matches this season.

A significant decision lies ahead for Boniface, especially with West Ham also showing interest in him. Newcastle sees Boniface as a potential alternative if they miss out on soon-to-be free agent Jonathan David from Lille. Boniface is not the only striker on West Ham’s radar; they are also interested in Newcastle’s Callum Wilson, who remains a target despite recent management changes.
