Students at The Sixth Form Bolton are heading to university and specialist arts schools after achieving excellent results. Among them is Zeng Tham, previously a student at Harper Green School, who achieved an A* and two A grades in A-level biology, fine art and geography. Now she is preparing to study illustration at Nottingham Trent University.

Zeng said: "I’ve had the best time at The Sixth Form, I have met my best friend, been on lots of exciting trips and achieved top grades. "Fine art has been my favourite subject, it’s been great to perfect my skills." Lucas Richmond-Bailey, who will be studying photography at the same university, received two A grades and two grade Bs in his subjects.

Lucas said: "I’m delighted to receive my results, it’s been hard work but definitely worth it. "I’ve made friends for life and had the best experiences. "I even got to practice my photography skills by doing staff headshots.

" Also set to leave The Sixth Form Bolton is Oskar Nuttall, on his way to the University of York to study theatre; writing, directing and performance. Oskar said: "I’ve loved every moment at The Sixth Form, especially the drama performances. "A big thank you to my drama teachers for all their help and encouragement over the last two years.

" Students are also heading to specialist art schools. Valentina Mattana will be studying drama at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Valentina said: "I’ve had so many amazing memories at The Sixth Form, especially the Legally Blonde performance.

"A huge thank you to all the tutors and teachers who have helped and supported me, especially the careers and the marketing team." Jude Hodges, formerly of Rivington and Blackrod School, will be studying music production at Spirit Studios in Manchester. Jude said: "I’ve loved my time at The Sixth Form, it’s been great to have the time to express my ideas in the studio.

"I would like to thank both my teachers for pushing me to do my best and put in the extra work.".
