5-6 Nov were exclusively reserved for the media. In the last two days, we saw numerous products, predominantly motorcycles, getting unveiled at the event from prominent Indian brands such as Royal Enfield, Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj-KTM. However, the two primary centers of attraction at the Milan Motor Show 2024 were the ‘Adventure’ and ‘Electric’ motorcycles.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric 2.0 It would not be an exaggeration to call the Royal Enfield Himalayan one of the most capable adventure motorcycles in India. Last year, Royal Enfield held the world premiere of the first Himalayan electric prototype at the EICMA.

Nothing really has changed, as this year too it unveiled a new prototype of the Himalayan EV, dubbed as the Himalayan Electric 2.0, at the EICMA. Upon a closer look at both the prototypes, one can notice significant changes.

The version 2.0 takes design inspiration from the Himalayan 450 with similar LED headlamp, tailight and windscreen. Though technical specs such as battery pack, range and charge time are not revealed, it was announced by Royal Enfield that Himalayan Electric 2.

0 carries new UI for instrument cluster and electronic suspension setup. The Chennai-based brand has set a timeline of Spring 2026 for its first electric bike, the Flying Flea C6. Hence, it would nearly take at least three more years before the production-ready Himalayan Electric arrives.

Hero Xpulse 210 Hero Xpulse 210 finally saw the daylight at the EICMA 2024. The oil/air-cooled engine of the current Xpulse 200 has gone for a toss in favor of a new liquid-cooled engine, which is borrowed from the Karizma XMR. Design-wise, it is fairly identical to the Xpulse 200, except for a few minimalistic changes.

Some of the notable features on-board the new ADV motorcycle are 4.2-inch TFT with turn-by-turn navigation, switchable ABS, and all-LED lighting. As for the 210cc liquid-cooled motor, it produces a top power of 24.

6 bhp (almost 1 bhp less than Karizma XMR) and peak torque of 20.7 Nm. This engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission.

Underpinning a trellis frame, the Xpulse 210 gets 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel to accentuate its adventure character. It is expected to make its public premiere in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in Jan in New Delhi as it goes on sale in subsequent months in India. Yamaha Tenere 700 Yamaha rang up the curtain on the 2025 Tenere 700 adventure motorcycle at the EICMA 2024 in Italy. For those asking, Yamaha Tenere has been on sale since 2019 and it is the first time that it has received a facelift. Though the cosmetic updates are still minor such as redesigned seat, tweaked LED headlamp and slight change in position of fuel tank.

Based on a double-cradle chassis, the 2025 Yamaha Tenere 700 new suspension setup, updated engine and gearbox. As for features, it boasts of a new 6.3-inch TFT instrument console, USB C-type charging, and a new switchgear.

Presently, the production of Yamaha Tenere 700 takes place in Japan and France. Earlier this month, media reports claimed that Yamaha India is contemplating launching the Tenere 700 in the domestic market, and even the initial work on this had started. Needless to state, if it launches at all in India by late 2025, it will be sold as a CBU with a price tag around Rs 15 lakh.

4. BMW F 450 GS Concept BMW F 450 GS Concept has been revealed at the EICMA 2024 to bridge the gap between G 310 GS and F 800 & 900 series. The production-ready adventure motorcycle would be launched by mid 2025.

The F 450 GS Concept appears exuberant due to the inclusion of R 1300 GS-sourced headlamp, knuckle guards, golden-colored USD forks and cross-spoke wheels. It gets advanced and up-market features in the form of lean-sensitive ABS, multi ride modes and 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity.

The BMW F 450 GS Concept comes with a tubular trellis frame and a 450cc twin-cylinder engine with power output of 48bhp. BMW has claimed that the engine as well as the chassis have been built from scratch with equal focus on agility and off-roading. 5.

All-New KTM 390 Adventure R The ‘all-new’ is the correct term for the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R as everything, right from the design, chassis to the engine is brand spanking new. Being the range-topping variant in the 390 Adventure line-up, it gets a plethora of typical KTM bells and whistles in the form of LED projector headlamp, massive windscreen and colored TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity & Navigation. For the first time, the 390 Adventure is packed with KTM 390 Duke’s single-cylinder liquid-cooled powertrain.

Undoubtedly, the 390 Adventure is one of India’s most sought-after ADV bikes due to its impeccable off-roading capabilities. A section of media has claimed that KTM will launch the 390 Adventure R as early as Nov 14 in the Indian market..
