GaadiWaadi -In the table of top 10 hatchbacks in Feb 2025, Maruti Suzuki WagonR finished on top ahead of Swift, Baleno, Alto and TiagoMaruti Suzuki WagonR retained its top spot in the hatchback sales charts in February 2025 with 19,879 units sold, reflecting a slight two per cent increase from last year’s 19,412 units. Its no-nonsense practicality and fuel efficiency continue to attract buyers.Maruti Suzuki Swift had an impressive month, registering 16,269 sales, a strong 24 per cent growth over last year’s tally of 13,165 units.
Its fun-to-drive nature and updated features seem to be drawing in younger buyers. On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno slipped by 12 per cent, dropping to 15,480 units from 17,517 units last year.Despite its premium hatchback positioning, the growing preference for compact SUVs appears to be affecting its sales.

Meanwhile, Tata Tiago recorded a 20 per cent growth with 6,954 units sold, a marginal increase from last year’s 6,947 units but finishing fifth is always a good place to be.With its strong safety ratings and the option of an electric version, it continues to appeal to a broader audience. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios saw 4,940 units sales, almost identical to last year’s 4,947 units.

Hyundai i20 faced a significant drop of 29 per cent, slipping to 3,627 units from 5,131 units in February 2024.
