GaadiWaadi -In the table of top 10 compact SUVs for March 2025, Tata Punch finished as the segment leader ahead of Brezza, Nexon and FronxThe compact SUV space saw big players maintaining their positions in March 2025 amidst activity from new models. Leading the pack was the Tata Punch which recorded 17,714 units – a slight one per cent increase over the same month last year. While the growth is marginal, the Punch’s ability to consistently hold its place at the top of this ultra-competitive segment highlights its wide-ranging appeal among buyers.
Just behind, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured second place with 16,546 units, up by 13 per cent year-on-year. It has played a pivotal role in the brand recording good sales numbers in the SUV number for a long time now. Tata’s Nexon, now in third position, posted 16,366 units – marking a strong 16 per cent increase over last March.
The Nexon continues to thrive bolstered by its wide powertrain options and sporty styling. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx followed with 13,669 units, showing a solid nine per cent gain. Its compact crossover design and two petrol options appear to be working in its favour.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO stood out as the biggest climber among the regular players.
It leapt by 240 per cent year-on-year, reaching 7,055 units as against 2,072 units during the same period in 2024.On the flip side, the Kia Sonet finished in the sixth place with 7,705 units, reflecting a 12 per cent dip. At the lower end, Hyundai’s Exter took a 30 per cent hit, down to 5,901 units.
And rounding out the list were the new entrants Skoda Kylaq and Kia Syros. The former helped the brand to register a massive 165 per cent YoY growth last month as well with 5,327 units.Also Read: Up To Rs.
