Singapore-based Changi Airport has emerged as the best airport globally in 2025, UK-based aviation rating company Skytrax revealed in a new report. The report crowned India's busiest airport, Delhi International Airport (IGI), as the best in South Asia. Two more Indian airports also made it to the top 100 while also improving their ranking.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport, which held the top spot in 2024, slipped to second place this year. Meanwhile, Tokyo-based Haneda Airport climbed one spot from its 2024 ranking. Japan is the only country to have two airports in the top five list, with Tokyo-based Narita International Airport at the fifth spot.
Other cities in the top 10 list include Hong Kong, Parish, and Munich among others, known for their world-class airport infrastructure.Delhi Airport, which was named the best in South Asia, claimed four spots compared to 2024. It was ranked as the 32nd best airport globally, placed after China's Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
Indonesia’s Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta was ranked 25th, adding to the strong performance of Asian airports in this year’s global rankings.Top 10 Airports Of 2025Meanwhile, the airport that featured in the next top 10 list included Dubai International Airport, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Istanbul Airport, Vienna International Airport, Melbourne Airport, Centrair Nagoya Airport, Copenhagen Airport, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and Bahrain International Airport.In India, Delhi emerged as the winner, followed by Bengaluru Airport, also known as Kempegowda International Airport, at 48th rank globally.
The Bengaluru airport was 58th last year, signalling its growing international recognition. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Airport was ranked 73rd, up from 95th rank in 2024.The report also included other titles such as the cleanest airport (major airport), awarded to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport was awarded the world’s best shopping airport. Similarly, Seoul Incheon Airport was recognised for having the world’s best airport staff.In a similar recognition, India’s Taj Bangalore was awarded as the best airport hotel in India as well as Central Asia.
