Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District, has stated that it’s premature to discuss the 2027 governorship race in Ogun State. Adeola, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, made this known on Saturday during the annual New Year thanksgiving service held at the Unity Cathedral of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ilaro, Ogun State. When asked about his potential interest in succeeding Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027, Adeola said, “I don’t think it is time for that now, we are still involved in trying to bring back the dividends of democracy to the people as senator elected for Ogun West.

He also expressed gratitude to God for his support and to his constituents for their cooperation. Looking ahead to 2025, Adeola promised a more rewarding and responsive leadership, with a focus on developmental projects, empowerment programs, and contributing to national issues on the Senate floor.
He further called for support for the All Progressives Congress-led federal government, praising President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to restore the country’s economic growth. In a gesture of appreciation, Adeola donated N50 million to the completion of the Unity Cathedral’s ongoing construction project..
