New York still hates Tom Brady. The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was loudly booed when shown from celebrity row during the Knicks’ game against the Nets on the jumbotron at the Garden. Brady also signed a football and tossed it to a fan in attendance for what will undoubtedly be a very expensive souvenir.

Brady is scheduled to be on the call for a game between the Packers and Bears this week for Fox. The former longtime Patriot is, of course, a high profile color commentator and has been somewhat criticized for his rookie-year performance . Brady took in a Knicks effort on Friday that, without Karl-Anthony Towns , needed to navigate a gritty Nets squad missing center Nic Claxton.

This gives the Knicks a tight win in the NBA Cup, 124-122 over the Nets. The Knicks already have a win over the 76ers in the NBA Cup. In group play, the Knicks will still have meetings with the Hornets and Magic — who improved to 2-0 in the Cup with a win over the 76ers on Friday.
