Today's Wordle Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here . I had quite a lucky guessing game today.

While FLOAT left me with 160 possible solutions, LINER slashed that down to just one: IDLER for the win! Huzzah! Today's Wordle Bot I get 1 point for guessing in three and 1 point for beating the Bot. The Bot loses 1 point for guessing in five and loses a second point since I beat it today. That brings us to a miraculous April tie! Erik: 15 points Wordle Bot: 15 points If only this had been 2XP Friday, I’d have won by a healthy margin.

Still, I’m a little shocked I managed to catch up after being down most of the month. Double huzzah! Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points. If you beat your opponent you get 1 point.

If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score.

Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day. Fridays are 2XP, meaning you double your points—positive or negative. You can keep a running tally or just play day-by-day.

Enjoy! The word "idler" comes from the noun "idle" (meaning "inactive" or "lazy") plus the agentive suffix "-er" (meaning "one who"). "Idle" traces back to Old English idel , meaning "empty, useless, vain," and possibly from Proto-Germanic idla- ("empty, vain"). So, "idler" simply means "one who is idle.
