It took me 1:12 to complete today's NYT Mini . Quite a few clues that didn’t click for me until much later than they should have in this one. NFL, for instance, is one that I should have gotten right away.

It was on the tip of my fingers, and then it wasn’t. I’m not sure that I’ve ever heard of a Slow LORIS. DUSKY, NOT UP and FROST gave me some trouble as well.

But as I started filling in the grid, I was able to start piecing together the answers I didn’t know together. I got there in the end, and that’s the most important thing. That’s it for me on our NYT Mini guides coverage for now.
