Find the links between the words to win today's game of Connections. Looking for Wednesday’s Connections hints and answers instead? You can find them here: Hey there! I hope you’re taking care of yourself and your loved ones during what’s been quite an eventful week in the world so far. At least there’s a fresh game of Connections for us to focus on for a few minutes.
For what it’s worth, I’ve got a fun song recommendation at the end for you to enjoy too. Today’s NYT Connections hints and answers for Thursday, November 7, are coming right up. How To Play Connections Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game.
You get a new puzzle at midnight every day. You can play on the NYT website or Games app. You’re presented with a grid of 16 words.
Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by figuring out the links between them. The groups could be things like items you can click, names for research study participants or words preceded by a body part. Election Betting Odds: Trump Hits 99% On Polymarket, Kalshi As More Election Results Come In Election 2024: Harris Concedes Election—Says ‘We Must Accept The Results’ Celebrities React To Trump Win: Hulk Hogan Calls For Unity, Billie Eilish Calls Victory A ‘War On Women’ There’s only one solution for each puzzle, and you’ll need to be careful when it comes to words that might fit into more than one category.
You can shuffle the words to perhaps help you see links between them. Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult one.
The purple group often involves wordplay. Select four words you think go together and press Submit. If you make a guess and you’re incorrect, you’ll lose a life.
If you’re close to having a correct group, you might see a message telling you that you’re one word away from getting it right, but you’ll still need to figure out which one to swap. If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with the help of some hints, and, if you’re really struggling, today’s Connections answers.
As with Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats. If you have an NYT All Access or Games subscription, you can access the Connections archive . This includes every previous game of Connections , so you can go back and play any of those that you have missed.

. No perfect game today, but my overall win streak is up to 11. Here's how I fared: 🟨🟨🟦🟨 🟦🟩🟩🟦 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟨🟨🟨🟨 I opened with a guess of SCRAMBLE, SALAD, MEDIUM and HASH as in ways to cook eggs.
That left me one away from a group. I turned my attention elsewhere and tried out something else with ARTIST, NAME, IMAGE and TITLE (in what you'd see on a Spotify profile, I guess?) but that wasn't close. In hindsight, NAME didn't quite fit anyway.
However, swapping in MEDIUM and YEAR meant I got the blues. The greens then became clear. With only four reasonable cooking-related words left, I shunted those aside to get the purples.
Then I wrapped things up with the yellows. I figured there was some kind of wordplay going on with EGADS and YOGA in particular, since those didn't really match up with anything else. The purples, as best I can tell, refer to Salvador Dali, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet and Francisco de Goya.
I'm unfamiliar with Degas and only vaguely recall de Goya's work, so I doubt I would ever have figured out this group. That’s all there is to it for today’s Connections clues and answers. Be sure to check my blog for hints and the solution for Friday’s game if you need them.
P.S. I don’t have a super strong personal connection with today’s song recommendation.
It just popped up thanks to the shuffle feature of my mega playlist this week and I can’t get it out of my head. I actually didn’t realize this was such a big hit back in the day, as it hit the top five in Canada and the U.K.
as well as the top 20 in the U.S. Right now, I just feel like I need to dance out all the tension that’s in the air.
This tune works quite well for that. And hey, I hope you enjoy it too, perhaps even while doing your best Tarzan impression: If you’re so inclined, please do follow my blog for more coverage of Connections and other word games and even some video game news, insights and analysis. It helps me out a lot!.
