It will be held by the Arena Stage, and come as part of the company’s 75th season.
Kwame Kwei-Armah – who is behind the One Love: The Bob Marley Musical – is said to have written the jukebox musical and is expected to direct the premiere. It will also see choreography from Chloe O. Davis, and include the girl group’s biggest hits like ‘No Scrubs’, ‘Waterfalls’, ‘Unpretty’ and ‘Creep’.
At time of writing, it is not yet clear to what extent the band members are involved in the production. That being said, they have shared official statements that show their support for the production. Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins shared that “bringing this story to the stage” feels like both “a dream come true” and “a totally new and exciting challenge,” (via Stereogum ).

Crazysexycool is expected to launch at the Kreeger Theater on June 12 2026, and will run through August 9 of that year. “TLC completely changed the game. Their music gave a voice to women everywhere, empowering them to be confident and unapologetic,” said Bill Diggins – whose Diggit Theatrical Group is producing the musical.
“But this isn’t just a story about the music; it’s about the sisterhood between these women and what kept them together through both unimaginable challenges and chart-topping success.” More details about the production are set to arrive at a later date, and you can sign up for the new mailing list here to be the first to hear about new updates. TLC’s fourth studio album ‘3D’ was released shortly after their death, and it was their last before an almost two-decade hiatus.
In 2015, TLC returned, launching a Kickstarter to help fund a new album. The campaign raised $430,255 and remains the most funded campaign in the company’s history. Katy Perry was one of the first backers of the project.
