Isagura finished second at Nowra at her latest start before being spelled. She resumes here and it wouldn’t surprise if she plays a part in the finish. 8.
Curly Bend has only been placed in one of five starts but hasn’t been too far away in any of her other runs. She can sneak into the placings here. How to play it: Rail Trail to win.
Race 2: 6. Too Darn Lovely did the job well to rack up a third win when scoring easily at Scone in October. She since resumed with a seventh at Newcastle when big odds.
She looks better suited here and gets her chance to bounce back. 9. Close My Eyes won at Gunnedah then ran second before finishing sixth at Tamworth when last produced.
He should strip fitter for this. 8. Cumboogle is resuming from a spell and looked good in a recent trial leading into this.
5. Small Town wasn’t beaten far when a last start third at Tamworth and has claims. How to play it: Too Darn Lovely to win.
They’re racing at Wellington on Monday with an eight-race card. Credit: Fairfax Race 3: 2. Harry Tudor has been placed in seven of 12 starts and has been in the money in each of three runs back from a spell.
This looks an ideal race to break through in. 5. Jolly Good Fellow has shown good ability and been placed in city grade.
He resumes here and should take plenty of beating. 7. Devils Daughter is first-up and wasn’t disgraced in city company before the break.
3. Wolf Club battled on well enough at Coonamble last time out to be rated a chance. How to play it: Harry Tudor to win.
Race 4: 4. Mrs Bull doesn’t win often but has been racing well and went down narrowly when second to stablemate Laisvas last time out. 2.
Laisvas has won four in a row, including the last-start victory over Mrs Bull, and should be prominent again. 10. Rich Street was placed in a couple before scoring a strong win at Coonamble last time out.
1. To Be Frank was a winner at Quirindi before being beaten just over three lengths behind Laisvas at Coonamble. How to play it: Mrs Bull each way.
Race 5: 3. Crop Duster won two of his last three starts at Newcastle and was fifth at Rosehill in between in his latest three runs before being spelled. He can run well fresh here.
5. The Hanger Cat ran second at Doomben before a spell and resumed with a solid fourth at Scone. 6.
Wilbury has won three of his past four and warrants plenty of thought again, while 8. Stratified has been racing well and can figure prominently again after a win and a second at his latest two starts. How to play it: Crop Duster each way.
Race 6: 2. Cliff House is a talented performer at best. He has had two runs back from a spell and been placed in each of them, the latest in the National Sprint at Canberra.
He looks suited by the step up in distance here and only needs a genuine tempo to be a factor. 4. Miracle Spin had solid form last campaign and should be improved by a resuming effort in the Newcastle Stakes.
5. Don Pedro won two in a row at Warwick Farm before finishing fourth on the Kensington track in his latest two starts, while 6. Aimpoint has been racing in career-best form and should be worth plenty of thought again.
How to play it: Cliff House to win. Race 7: 14. Try Me is on debut but has shown talent, having had two trials for a close-up effort on the Beaumont track and a win at Muswellbrook.
She’s drawn well and run boldly. 5. Alabama Charm took on the Gimcrack on debut when safely held but has since been placed in two runs at Newcastle and Gosford.
She’s a leading chance in this. 2. Invincible Phantom won two trials before debuting with a strong fourth on the Kensington track.
7. Bravalatante has had three starts and wasn’t disgraced in the latest of them at Scone. She can run into the placings.
How to play it: Try Me each way. Race 8: 8. Adventure Seeker resumed from a spell and broke her maiden when scoring a win at Goulburn as a short-priced favourite.
She’s a talented filly and can go right on with the job here. 3. Archaic Force is first-up from a spell and ran well when winning and running fourth in his only two starts.
4. Nor Nor West won well at Mudgee before a close-up Mudgee effort and warrants thought on that, while 1. Commandoro is rarely too far away and warrants respect.
How to play it: Adventure Seeker to win. BEST BETS Race 6: (2) Cliff House. Race 8: (8) Adventure Seeker.
