Tinubu’s cap design now symbol of authoritarianism – Atiku’s aide

Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Communications to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has said the emblem on President Bola Tinubu’s cap has become a symbol of oppression. Shaibu stated this in a statement titled “De-cap-itated!” released on Monday. He said Tinubu has failed Nigerians, including his own supporters, after one year in office.

Referring to Tinubu’s pre-election claim that the cap design represented a “broken shackle.” Shaibu said the Tinubu has yet to break the chains of poverty. He stated that the cap, once a highly sought-after item, has now become a burden for merchants selling it and a symbol of embarrassment for Tinubu’s supporters.
