Beyoncé and Jay-Z celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary as her mom Tina Knowles gushed about the pair and how 'true love' prevails in a touching post

Beyoncé Knowles' mother Tina Knowles, has been looking back at her daughter's "remarkable" love story. The 71-year-old took to Instagram to share a touching post to mark Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 17th wedding anniversary on April 4 . The upload featured a series of video clips of the couple alongside an emotional caption.

She wrote: “Happy 17th anniversary to two of my favorite people in the whole wide world!!!! Your love and commitment, and the ability to block out all the outside noises is remarkable. True love rises above all the bulls---. Enjoy your day.

” She added the soundtrack of Beyoncé’s 2006 ballad “Still in Love (Kissing You),” to the post which contains touching lyrics “You’re best friend, you’re my husband. You are my doctor, counselor, provider, professor, my everything, and I love you.” Beyoncé and Jay-Z tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family on friends on April 4 2008.

The couple had been dating since 2000 when they got married and since welcomed their children, daughter Blue Ivy, 13, in 2012 and twins Rumi and Sir, 7, in 2017. Tina recently shared her view on her daughter's role as mom while speaking at the Billboard 2025 Women In Music Awards on March 29. She told E! News: “[Her kids] are always her first priority no matter what else is going on.

“Mothers take on the role of being behind the scenes and doing what they can to support. It's nice to be recognized for that. It never ends, which is the best part.

I'm still a mom. I'm 71 years old, and my kids are grown, but they still call me first and it's the best feeling in the world.” Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently faced a traumatic time when Kanye West launched a scathing attack on X regarding the married couple's family.

However, he soon deleted the post - before admitting his regret at doing so. Among his comments, which were mainly typed in all capital letters, Ye fumed: "The only thing that I was mad about in the last few hours was taking that Jay Z and Beyonce tweet down. Dame Dash signed me btw, not Jay Z.

" His rant went on: "Concerning the Jay Z and Beyonce tweet, n****s said I woukd [sic] regret it. Noooo I regret taking it down My Twitter is a one way conversion." Ye had attacked them and their three children on the evening of March 18, with Ye randomly asking, "WAIT HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN JAY Z AND BEYONCES YOUNGER KIDS THEYRE R-------.

" He continued: "NO LIKE LITERALLY AND THIS IS WHY ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION IS SUCH A BLESSING. HAVING R------- CHILDREN IS A CHOICE. IF TWITTER TAKE MY S--- DOWN THEM SO BEIT BUT I NEED YALL TO NO JAY Z OR NOBODY HAVE NO POWER OVER ME.
