Dubbed the “world’s first gourmet chain food festival,” the event is an outgrowth of Chain, a West Hollywood restaurant that holds short-lived pop-ups that usually sell out rapidly. The food is usually elevated versions of food served in restaurant chains such as Taco Bell and Chili’s Grill & Bar . This year’s ChainFest will feature collaborations with such partners as Cracker Barrel, Dutch Bros, Domino’s, Hot Dog on a Stick, KFC, Krisy Kreme, Panda Express, Red Lobster and White Castle, according to a news release.

It will also include a Trader Vic’s pop-up and a Pepto Bismol “relief station.” The festival will be produced by Medium Rare, which did Shaq’s Fun House in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl. The venue will be Row DTLA , 777 S.

Alameda St., Los Angeles. The first ChainFest was held last December and is the subject of a documentary on Roku .
