THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian meteorological department predicted the possibility of rainfall for the next five days in the state. A yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts today. The possibility of isolated heavy rain is predicted.

IMD announced that there is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour today, and thunderstorms tomorrow. Lightning strikes are dangerous. They cause great damage to human and animal life, as well as electrical and communication networks.
