Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has led his rampant Oklahoma City Thunder to a franchise-record 15th straight win as they rallied to beat NBA defending champions Boston 105-92. All-Star Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points and 11 rebounds in Sunday's home win as the Thunder improved to 30-5. They have not lost a game that counted in the standings since December 1.
Their loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Cup final does not count on the team's record. The Celtics led 65-55 at halftime but, much as they did on Friday against New York, the Thunder refused to cave when behind by double digits. They hung around, then outscored the Celtics 29-12 in the fourth quarter.
The Celtics (26-10) remains a team who can lose at any time because of their heavy dependence on 3-pointers. They made just 9 of 46 shots from deep. Jayson Tatum had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics while Jaylen Brown scored 21 points, but went scoreless on 0-for-7 shooting in the second half.
