Three-day Sparkle 2024 begins

Surat: The three-day Sparkle International Gems and Jewellery Exhibition 2024 , organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( SGCCI ), was inaugurated on Friday at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium. SGCCI president Vijay Mevawala said, "India contributes about 29% to the global jewellery market, and the gems and jewellery industry is projected to grow by 14% annually. Cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Chennai have recorded growth rates of over 30% in jewellery demand, while Tier-2 cities like Rajkot and Surat have shown impressive increases of 72% and 43%, respectively.
