Three people killed in a fire in Northamptonshire have been named by police. Emma Conn, 30, her four-year old daughter Mayci Fox, and 23-year-old Louie Thorn died in Rushton on Friday night. Northamptonshire Police said formal identification had yet to take place but it was naming the victims with the support of their families.
Ms Conn and her daughter were from Desborough and Mr Thorn from Rushton. A 54-year-old man from Kettering arrested on suspicion of murder was released yesterday and will face no further action. Police said they no longer believed the fire was caused by a criminal act.
Images show a hole burned in the roof of the building, a 19th century former station master's house at the now-closed Glendon and Rushton station. One person was also taken to hospital after the fire and three officers were assessed after suffering smoke inhalation. Detective chief inspector Ruby Burrow said: "Our team has been working at pace on this investigation and after rigorous examination of the available information, we do not believe there is any evidence of criminal wrongdoing at this point.
" Trains between London St Pancras and Corby, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield were disrupted on Saturday due to fire damage to a rail line..
