His elbow shots are what seemed to rattle Miocic with only a little over a minute left in the first round.

To close out the first round, Jones was able to get a shot in that cut Miocic to close out the first round. Miocic tried to come out strong and get some shots in, but he was not able to keep up with the consistency of Jones and his power. Jones’ main strength was from continuously taking right shots. In the last few seconds of the third round, the shot that knocked Miocic down was a strong kick from Jones into Miocic’s rib cage.

Retirement talk Jon Jones said post-match that he will not retire, instead, he would work in conjunction with UFC president Dana White to find his opponents for his next match.
