Three die as car crashes into tree

Surat: Three men from Bhavnagar died when their speeding car hit a tree on a state highway near Hansot town in Bharuch district on Friday morning. The victims were going to Surat via Ankleshwar-Hansot-Surat state highway. Hansot police registered an accidental death case.

The deceased were identified as Mahavir Agrawat, Mitesh Chavda (20) and Chetan Bhatti (26), all residents of Bhavnagar. After they reached Ankleshwar, they chose the Hansot-Surat highway to reach Surat. The vehicle suddenly veered off the road, lost control and crashed into the tree.



While two died on the spot, the third person died during the treatment at the Bharuch Civil Hospital. According to primary details, the accident might have taken place due to the driver's sleep deprivation. The police are investigating the exact reason for the accident.
