
[email protected]: Three people were killed and four others injured in a five-vehicle crash at Km50 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway near Kampung Lentang today.
The victims - a man and two women - were travelling in the same car when the accident occurred at 4.50pm.Pahang Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Zulfadil Zakaria said the Bentong fire station was alerted at 4.
55pm, and 10 firemen were deployed to the scene."Initial investigations revealed the accident involved a five-tonne lorry, a Honda Accord, a Subaru, a Proton Waja, and a Proton Saga, all heading towards Bentong."Three people in the Honda were killed, while three others, including two children, sustained injuries.
"Firemen extricated the injured victims using rescue tools before they were sent to Bentong Hospital. "The lorry driver was also injured, while eight others in the Waja, Saga, and Subaru escaped unhurt," he said in a statement today. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
