Three damage 14 vehicles in JP Nagar, two arrested

1 2 Pune: Three men, armed with sharp weapons, damaged cars, autorickshaws and two-wheelers in the JP Nagar area around 12:30am on Tuesday. The Airport police have filed a case of rioting and mischief against them and arrested two men. The police are searching for the third accomplice.

Deputy commissioner of police (Zone IV) Himmat Jadhav said, "The three men came to the area walking and damaged the vehicles without any reason. They were armed with sharp weapons." According to the police, the trio damaged five cars, three autorickshaws and six two-wheelers.



A teacher (37), a local resident, lodged a complaint with the Airport police on Tuesday morning. According to the police, they damaged the windshields of the cars and autorickshaws which were parked on the internal public roads. They also kicked and pushed the two-wheelers, causing these vehicles to fall.

The tanks, headlights, and mirrors of these two-wheelers were damaged. Police said, "The local residents were asleep when the trio ran amok. Before residents could react, the trio left the area.
