International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola says those who want the government to change its foreign policy must follow the proper channels.Speaking during the launch of the Aziz Pahad dialogue at the Department of International Relations in Pretoria, Lamola says the Government of National Unity agreement is clear on this issue. He says it is not true when the Democratic Alliance (DA) says the African National Congress (ANC) is implementing its policies without other GNU members being consulted.
Lamola says there is a statement of intent that all parties ratified.“It is therefore shocking that the DA will argue that we are just implementing ANC policy in foreign affairs when they agreed to the above in the statement of intent. The Government of National Unity does not supersede the Constitution.
