Thomas Tuchel to receive 'secret dossier' on England players from Lee Carsley

England's interim manager Lee Carsley has confirmed a meeting between him and his successor Thomas Tuchel and the existence of a "very detailed" handover dossier

He said: "There's a bit of relief, because we were expected to get promotion. I've found it challenging. But it was a strong performance.



I'm trying to put together a debriefing. "I'll put together a document and go meet him [Tuchel], and present him with what I think, and what we've found. Our job is to help him as much we can.

I'll look forward to meeting him in the next few weeks. "He's an elite coach. The challenge now for the players is to be in the March squad, and a lot of them have enhanced their reputation.

I'm proud for a lot of them. "I wanted the England team to be exciting to watch and be attacking. And now we've seen it.

" FA chief executive Mark Bullingham paid tribute to Carsley. He said: "Lee has achieved the main objective from the six fixtures this autumn, securing promotion back to the top tier of the Nations League. "He has selected some exciting new players and will be providing Thomas Tuchel with a very detailed handover as they start work on our qualifying campaign for the 2026 Fifa .

"The players have really enjoyed working with Lee and his team. They have made a real impact in their interim roles." Irish boss Heimer Hallgrimsson meanwhile accused his side of giving up.

He raged: "When you lose 5-0 there's nothing you can say. I just felt we lost our heads and there was no way back. "We kind of just gave up.
