October 9, 1941 - September 10, 2024 BOWMAN -- Thomas "Johnny" Snell, 82, of Bowman. passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Mr.
Snell was born on October 9, 1941, in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of the late John Thomas Snell and the late Lunett Jackson.
Mr. Snell served in the United States Army. He was employed by Bell South as a Technician until his retirement after more than 30 years of service.
He loved yard work and keeping his yard nice as well as being an avid bicyclist. Mr. Snell was predeceased by his wife, of 61 years, Mary Blanche Sanford Snell and a son, Shannon J.
Snell. Survivors include his sons: Terry Snell (Debra) of Bowman, Travis Snell of Holly Hill; grandchildren: Jenny Mims (Eric), Trista Files (Jayme), Alisha Snell, Donna Powell, Coby Snell (Tori), Tristen Snell (Alivia), Santana Snell, Chris Thompson (Brandi); 11 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn McWhorter of Texas. A celebration of life service will be held in the future.
